Scarlett was born in New York City on November 22, 1984. She is an American actress who has appeared in more than 30 films and directed and produced since her debut in 1994.
Johansson is a celebrity of both American and Danish descent.
She was named Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2012. When she was a baby, Johansson’s mother gave her the middle name “Robyn” after Robin Williams.
Romania is Johansson’s ancestral home country.
She has also appeared in supporting roles in “The Horse Whisperer” (1998) and Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy (2001–03), playing the elf Arwen Undómiel. Johansson began acting during childhood after her mother started taking her to auditions.
She made her film debut at the age of nine, as John Ritter’s daughter in the 1994 fantasy comedy “North”.

This movie revolves around two teens who are bored with life and their jobs, the two girls get into mischief and eventually become friends with an older man who has cancer. Scarlett played the role of a self-centered girl who is deprived of her mother’s love; she lives with her father.
- Lost in Translation (2003)
In this movie Scarlett plays the role of Charlotte, an unhappy, insomniac young woman whose life lacks purpose. In Japan, for a photo shoot, she meets another lonely American in the form of Bob Harris(Bill Murray), an actor in town, to film an advertisement. Bob Harris’s character is an alcoholic, but he loves making movies. Eventually, the two become a couple, but their love is not enough to sustain them.

In this movie, Scarlett plays the role of Fanny, a quiet and private 17-year-old orphaned lady who is engaged to marry the handsome painter Anthony van Gogh(Oscar Araujo). Since she feels like an outsider, she is led to live with him in his studio while he works on her portrait. However, Anthony van Gogh’s character is very difficult and well-known at that time, so it was quite difficult for both the actress and the leading man to fit their roles into their characters perfectly.

In the movie Scarlett plays the role of Elektra in a tale of jealousy, love and revenge. After her husband dies, his wife tries to get full control over the company that he had built up together with his partner. She has several affairs and starts to poison people in order to make it look like these people were killed by a snake. The story is told in flashbacks by the main character who was an eyewitness during one of these murders.

Scarlett plays the role of Penelope Haines, a mysterious woman who is hired to help Sir Arthur with his magic show. In this movie Scarlett plays the role of a college graduate who is looking for a job in the city. Eventually, she gets employed to be a nanny for the son of an upper-class couple. There are some conflicts between Scarlett Johansson’s character and the baby’s parents, but somehow her efforts manage to change their lives for the better.
